Can someone help me parse this article in The Hindu? The article talks about a Kandadevi festival and hints at some sort of problem over Dalits (i.e. so-called untouchables) participating in this event. Why is there only a veiled reference to what the problem is? Why doesn't the article come out and say that the Dalits say that they are being kept out of the festival and the officials deny this? Thaths -- "Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson starship.
