Yes...for some reason we like to believe that whatever was prevalent, and relevant, in the past, such as astrology or vaastu, will continue to be so, and is valuable by sheer dint of age and venerability. We seem to place such a premium on blind, unquestioning acceptance of old tenets, theories, values, morals,models...I do dislike that phrase, "old is gold"....and to top it all, some of us are hypocrites about astrology too...I know several families where privately they admit that they don't believe in it, but use it as a convenient "out" in matrimonial alliances...if the prospective bride has buck teeth and is cross-eyed, how much nicer to say that the Saturn-Jupiter juxtaposition isn't favourable....
