Heh! I am tangentially reminded of a documentary I watched on Easter
Sunday at the San Francisco Film Festival some years ago. It was a
film documenting the competition for saved souls among various
evangelical churches that were courting once-cannibalistic tribes. It
was hilarious to watch the chief of a hill tribe compare and contrast
the strengths and weaknesses of the spirits they used to worship
against this Jesus guy.
Recycling this bit of wisdom yet again:
The gods of the Disc have never bothered much about judging the souls of
the dead, and so people only go to hell if that's where they believe, in
their deepest heart, that they deserve to go. Which they won't do if they
don't know about it. This explains why it is so important to shoot
missionaries on sight.
