I checked the online Indian Railways schedule between BNCE (Bangalore east) and SBC (Bangalore City)
There are only 19 trains that do this route in a day - i.e. less than the number of hours in a day. Seven of them run between 4 AM and 6-15 AM - so you can reasonably expect to do your journey within any arbitrary time between 4 and 6 AM only :).
