watch out for the "fleas" in fort cochin... anybody looking foreign is game..... ernakulam has hideous traffic problems. but travelling south is much better, specially alleppey... and foriegners are allowed in the temples around alleppey (some pretty old ones there....). I found some of the older churches pretty strange (it doesnt seem to be part of any tourist circuit...). I found this weird church near alleppey which specializes in curing insane people....
