"Where Atithis Fear To Tread" [1], a blog entry by Majumdar has interesting views about women in India getting the short end of the stick. With unfailing regularity we get to read a lot of tragic events in the press [2]*, irrespective of the strata of society the woman belongs too. Is this an indication of the direction the Indian society is headed ?
