A number of years ago a co-op student from Germany came into my office and said that he had just become an American citizen. I was very surprised - I told him I had no idea he was applying.
His response - no - I'm not legally an American - but this weekend I became a cultural American. How could he do that? He said that he had eaten food while driving his car. Everyone in the office treated him like an 'American' after that. On Tue, Jul 1, 2008 at 10:36 AM, Perry E.
