Don't get me wrong, there was always process coverage. Even now, with
something like the nuclear deal, there's quite a bit of news analysis
in the papers. The question is to what extent does process get covered
and what extent event. Right now, the balance is skewed towards news
coverage. And the idea of increasing process coverage is catching on.

As an aside, the difference between the way the the public reacted to
the Bofors scandal and the response to investigative journalism today
is quite interesting.

The effect of online media on traditional print media has been
documented quite extensively. The changing newsrooms, challenges, etc.
