Interesting. I have read his "Phantoms of the Brain" and found it fascinating. He is not of Oliver Sacks league may be, but "too much hand wavy" is something I would not describe him as. Nevertheless, I have Atul Gawande's books on my to-read list for a long time now. Any views? -- A
