Udhay as a study this is highly dubious. It's conclusions may be right but this study proves nothing. It is a pseudo study. The only scientific study here was the 1983 to 2003 study published in the BMJ in 2008. I looked at that paper and they have some serious data collection and analysis. In the case of Facebook they have merely compared data that was found on Facebook using metrics like "smiling faces" and "friends" That sounds like BS to me. What is interesting is the common expression "social network" which is used for 1983 to 2003 relationships as well as Facebook, which started in 2004. That apart, a part of the BMJ article has been quoted verbatim but some questionable BS has been added which is absent from the original article. The opposite of happiness the man says is pain, which is bullsh1t, because you can be free of pain but unhappy. By most definitions the opposite of happiness is sorrow. shiv
