Type 2 diabetes is epidemic in south India (e.g., in Puducherry about 10% of 
the population is diabetic and is set to double in the next ten years). The 
following is an interesting study that indicates that technology can help and 
should be deployed given that technology will likely have fewer physical 
side-effects compared to medications. Are their any efforts in the private 
industry or in the public sector to try such technology more widely?
