I have no attachment or antagonism towards the Ice Bucket Challenge campaign, but what the viral-ness of the campaign has caused is increased scrutiny, and consequently some interesting revelations. This link below talks of one FB user's research that for every $100 contributed to the cause, only $7 goes to research.
