Dear Aimal,

Sorry for "butting in," Aimal. Certainly Reid will answer you if he hasn't
already. He was a big help to me when I started on CS.

You sound discouraged. Perhaps you need a lot more rest than you are able to
get. I don't see how a medical student could get much rest with so many
pressures & responsibilities.

Also, have you looked into hyperbaric chamber as a possible booster to your
health? I have some information & links at
http://www.connix.com/~berntsen/hbot.htm &
http://www.connix.com/~berntsen/hbolinks.htm .
I'm sorry; these pages have not been updated for some time but hopefully the
links have been. This experimental treatment sounds promising or at least
rejuvinating. I myself have slipped this fall, but have found increasing the
qty. of CS has helped a lot over the last few weeks. It'll be one or 2
months before I can make a good evaluation of how I'm doing as you know, the
Bb has a 4 wk lifecycle. If I do not continue to mend, I'll be visiting my
doctor again.

I wish there was a way to cooperatively own a hyperbaric chamber as a
preventative. I do believe based on the evidence, there was a world-wide
flood centuries ago. Based on some scientists' studies, I believe that
before Noah's flood we had more O2 in the atmosphere and this kept people
healthier because bacteria could not proliferate as it does in today's
atmosphere. Sometimes I wish I were in your shoes; I've got so many things I
wish I could research! But I don't really have the brains or the time for
it!

Please rest up, Aimal. If God wants you to be a doctor, he will work those
details out. (Maybe he does, but not now?) If you need a rest, take it.
You must take care of yourself if you are to take care of others. There was
an article by a doctor who had Lyme disease in Focus on the Family's
"Physician" magazine, Jan/Feb. 1996. This article largely discussed how his
faith grew as he dealt with the temporary devastation of Lyme to his career,
and it was well balanced with how he did cope, taking a leave of absense and
going back to work with a new attitude of respect for his patients (having
had a taste of what they go through), and a new way of balancing family,
work, his spiritual walk, and his own health.

It is evident that you have a strong faith in God. Perhaps he is trying to
get your attention. I've certainly felt that way at times in my life. His
ways are not always our ways. Paraphrasing one of the Proverbs, "Man makes
his plans, but God has the final say." I pray you'll have some time for some
soul searching and that you will get a sense of what God wants of you right
now. The answer is in His Word.

Sincerely,
Nancy
