questions. He asked me if I'd reprise his message...

Working from memory now, I think there was a study back in the
forties that measured dietary silver intake, among many other
minerals, indicating that it was some several tens of micrograms of
silver per day at that time. The research was attempting to measure 
the effects of soil depletion on the food supply. It's only gotten 
worse since then.

There is a pretty basic distinction to be made between
supplementation and/or prophylactic use of CS and "therapeutic"
doses that clearly act in ways apart from normal bodily function. I
suspect that there *is* an unacknowledged component of silver
deficiency in some health problems.

Excellent question. I tend to agree with John's other points, below.
