A few questions and discussions are coming up about ppm. Here's my
answers and comments on the questions I've seen:

Distilling? I'm a little concerned that the more *processing* we do
to the stuff we make the less that is left effective. I've seen
cautions about protecting your CS from not just light, but magnets
and static charges as well, all in an effort to protect the charged
particles. So I'm inclined to keep things as simple as possible.

OTOH I have re-heated my CS to "bottle" it sometimes, and the stuff
that comes out of the sealed bottles seems to have just as good
measurable ppm and potency as before. I believe Reid, or Scott, or
someone actually has boiled it down to a concentrate (I guess you'd
call that reducing it, eh? <grin>). So the answer is probably yes, it
can be done.

The question I ask is, why do you need higher ppm? The silver will
get into your body as well from an ounce of 30 ppm as 3 oz of 10 ppm,
won't it?

I'm making some more CS right now, and I'm trying to simplify things
a lot and see how it works. I'm *not* heating it and I'm only going
for 10-15 ppm. Current flow is never getting much above 8 or 9 ma
with 3" of 12 ga silver wire in the water, 3/4" apart, at 30 VDC.

With 25% starter from the previous batch, it's taking about an hour
to get from a reading of 2 ppm to 15 ppm on the TDS-1 meter
calibrated for salt. (That in itself suggests a little non-linearity
in the TDS-1 readings at the bottom of scale.) I seem to be losing a
few ppm from settling and filtering out of the visible particles, so
it goes into the bottles about 12 ppm.

Of course I don't yet have a solid calibration factor between salt
and my CS, so the ppm, although controllable batch-to-batch, is not
known with any great certainty yet.

The product is *very* light straw color, almost colorless. This is
quite different from the deep amber color I get when making it with
hot water.

I'll let ya' know how it goes!

Be well,

Mike D.
