Hi Donna,
Lyme attacks the heart, causing irregular heart beats or palpitation.
Fluid can form in the heart sack causing serious complications. Several
people in my Lyme support group, including myself, experienced this problem.
Your friends Dr. probably knows this. If it were a herx symptom,
antibiotics could also be the cause. I tend to believe it is caused by the
spirochete invading the heart. IV antibiotics worked for me and several
friends. I used a detox protocol, since I believed the dead spirochetes
needed to be flushed no mater how they were being killed. Yeast over
growth, from the use of antibiotics, can also cause irregular heart beats.
I experienced the same pain radiating in my collar bone and down my left
arm. I would suggest a Darkffield Photomicrography blood test to see what's
going on in the blood system.
