My primary Dr. wasn't willing to order the lyme vaccine for me. He said there was controversy over whether its effective. Also, it's been 9 years since I had a tetanus shot and when I asked him for the booster he told me to wait another year.
I am concerned about preparing for y2k and when I told him this he laughed. I know I need to find another primary physician but I suspect many other physicians will have similar responses since they are "gatekeepers" to keep down costs for hmo's.
