The one million is micro amps. You won't see much of it. Only in a few circuits is this unit involved. Plus, only very good meters will measure micro amps and micro volts. Often leakage current and induced voltage produces this small amount of current. Years back, in large buildings, using high quality analog meters, induced voltage would measure 75 to 100 volts AC. A few times, when I first discovered this, it led me on a wild goose chase. After I learned more about it, it was easy to identify as induced voltage. Only the older technicians will remember these good old days of the high quality analog meters. Not sure what year we all went to digital meters. They had some disadvantaged that the analog did not have. Soon we learned how to overcome that. Enough history.
