Hi Day, so sorry to hear he is still sick. The platelets are the blood clotting mechanism aren't they? There seem to be a number of reasons that this can occur i.e. Leukaemia being one of them, or an insufficient amount being produced in the bone marrow etc. It also can be caused by a virus so if it were me, I would give CS every hour for a couple of days to see if it helps. If it does then it is a bonus, and it won't do any harm. Dee
