Now does anyone know if the new glue is any better- is formaldehyde free
wood glue non-VOC?

I imagine all synthetic glues have this problem of volatility. Simple PVA glue is fairly OK.

The trouble is they want use the expanding and volatile compounds because of ease of joinery and construction in assembling the stuff: it takes little skill or preparation and finishing, and so an increase in profits.

Of course, half the problem is how long they continue to have VOC's, as well as the rate. Any improvement is a step in the right direction. But he problem is, that our home and offices and vehicles are so saturated with VOCS, and it's an accumulative poisoning.

Caravans and mobile homes are so toxic to my senses, that I will only hover on the edge. I couldn't sleep i one really. or not without the doors and window open. Worse with the heater on.
