Hi Richard and Ian, I live in southern Spain, and the best distilled water I have been able to find (through trial and error, using a Hanna meter) is the de-ionised distilled water they sell at the gas station stores. On the label it says it can be used in labs for analyses, etc. so I figure it´s alright- we have been using it for almost a year with nothing but excellent results.
