Morning Dee and Simon,

I don't feel qualified to talk about this.

I just don't think he bothered! He actually said as much. Dee
Yet, it's true to appear polite takes a lot of effort in this medium, in
Order to guess what won't upset people. Perhaps it took Simon too long to Learn how.

  Still a comment or two.

I know I need to be nicer at times.

I have picked on both or you a few times.

Dee seems to get more upset than Faith. So I slacked off a bit.

This certainly does not mean that I don't like either of you, exactly the opposite it true.

I think Faith understands this, better than Dee. <grin>

Faith never seemed to let it worry him.

And yes, it is hard for some to be nice, me included, as it is not my nature. I can do it, but I am relatively plain spoken and state my ideas in real life.

IBM taught me to be nice to customers. I guess I learned, they never ran me off and my pay increases were always larger than my co workers that started about the time I did.

Of course the supervisors knew who worked the hardest. Once my superior, asked, Are you working on Saturday? Somehow he figured it out.

Guess what? Some technicians griped about the ornery and hard to please customers. They were my favorite. The more ornery they were and the harder to please, the better I liked them.

Maybe that is one of the reasons they called me a "Non conformist".

Not sure they did not like a few "Non conformist" in the organization to send out to the mean old customers. <grin>

Not sure my friend Mike, or anyone will agree, but maybe a list need one or two NON Conformists on every list. And of course I realize it can be overdone.

With all that said, I will apologize for being a little blunt and rude at times.

I do get a little disgusted with beginners, ( not all of them ).

They jump in neck deep before wading around and testing the bottom for dangers and slippery rocks.

They ask advanced questions when they will not understand the terms if someone gives them the correct answer.

A little study goes a long ways, 2, 5, or 10 hours is not too much to expect.

Often I meet people that talk about new things.
I say, "I do not know enough to ask a good question".

But wait until tomorrow.

I have a genius friend. The turned a large industrial site into the one in his company that was the most profitable in North America.

Not he is in China setting up these plants and teaching them all the secrets he learned in America.

Often he knew nothing about a subject. But wait until tomorrow, and he would know more than any of us.

Years back he told his boss he needed a computer. His boss said, "you have to tell me why you need one".

The next morning, he laid a 25 page report on the desk he had written. Of course he got his computer.

One he wanted to change some maximum temperatures on large ovens in the metal coating plant. He boss did not believe it feasible.

One day he mentioned it again, ..............
The plant manager said, "Go ahead and do it, you have been right on everything else". Glory Be. Large energy savings.
One of the many reasons his plant was the most profitable in north America.

Yes, he worked for me for several years. He would work all night long beside me, and was the only employee I had that would do it.

He used to travel to many college seminars on technical things.
We were eating lunch, and I said, "Frank, do you learn anything at these seminars"?

He smiled and said, "Mostly I teach". One Genius Friend.

Most of my good friends are highly intelligent people. I often wonder why they like me. It must be because I ask good questions, not stupid questions.

I find it amazing that my son is different. All his friend are the dumbest people in town. ( not all but most )

Sorry I got off track. It takes all kind of people to make the world go around. I try to do my share,........ nicely at rare times.

Wayne
