I owe you all an apology. Several weeks ago I
stated I would post the extraction techniques our staff used for
leaching a majority of the mineral constituents from granulated whole
kelp. I did, indeed, obtain both our heated water-based---and the
ethyl-alcohol-based, procedures. Shortly before I was to post this
information, one member of our legal counsel informed me that we were
not free-agents to disclose the ethyl-alcohol method, as one of the
parties involved in its perfection was a visiting researcher from
another, MUCH LARGER, foundation----that wishes to keep this information
proprietary. Needless to say, I am chagrined and embarassed by this
circumstance; but have no recourse but to abide by their
wishes.....without comment.
However, I am at liberty to outline, in simple terms, the methodology
used in our water-extraction process (one of OUR staff members developed
it, alone). Confidentially, it is, probably, the only one that the
lay-public could have conveniently implemented, anyway. That is small
consolation toward salving my embarassment. I will endeavor to post the
water-extraction method Monday, upon my return to our facility.
