Starvation kills just as well as poison.

If there is a preference for a sweeter taste, actual nutritious foods will be bypassed in favor of the sweeter "Tasting" substance. So long as a colony of ants believes it has *enough* of that preferred "food", it won't hunt down anything else and it's preferences will starve the colony out. At the very least, the queen will get so skinny that she won't be able to produce viable eggs and will have to make a living as a anorexia poster girl runway model.

She won't live long on a runway...airplanes and posing ants don't get along very well.

"Nutra"-Sweet is, of course, an oxymoron.... like jumbo shrimp.
Once known as "fish bait" ...now, Aunt bait because if you promise her shrimp, she'll come visit...but only if she can drink Diet Coke with that because eating jumbo amounts of shrimp makes one bigger and she's already the size of an Imperial colony.

She, like the ants, doesn't believe that over indulgence in a preferred food could have harmful effects.

She'll tell you it's her genes, but it's all just ants in the pants.

Snopes has been infiltrated by Bush's propaganda machine. They have changed numerous definitions and sites to suit their agendas. The same for Wikipedia. Misinformation and outright lies are the name of the game for the fascists in the White House.

I have been using Aspartame for ants for the past 4 yrs and it works great.

So just goes to tell you snopes isn't always right.
