Several questions/references have appeared....recently, addressing
frequency as an effective adjunct to LED light exposure, for improving
results. We have, in the past, conducted a number of evaluations
involving the application/control of
various pulsing frequencies as the driver control for differing LED
assemblies. After extensive investigations, we have been unable to
establish that ANY frequency modulation technique (from 1 cps to 2000
cps [hertz]) effectively increases---in any manner, the efficacy of the
protocol. Others may have experienced different results. However, we
were able to achieve increased effectivity....in a number of
applications....through the simple expedient of "raising-the-power"
input to the LED assemblies. Our simple conclusion was that light
intensity increases (hence penetrating power) appeared to improve local
circulatory functions in a manner superior the ANY frequency
manipulations. We are now encouraged to believe that higher power
(within reasonable limits) offers the greater promise in LED
photo-therapy experimental researches....than do other forms of
manipulating this phenomena. Additionally, the improvements enjoyed
seem to transcend the element of "depth-of-penetration"; as the
increased beneficial effects seem to radiate laterally at much shallower
depths....than the penetration limit.
These are just my cursory comments on the subject and do not carry any
formal recommendation or proof of concept.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.
