Dianne, you can lower your blood pressure without medications by deep
breathing. First take your BP so you know where you are starting. Sit quietly
and breathe in as deeply as you comfortably can. Then exhale slowly - try to
take a little more time exhaling than you did inhaling. Do this for a few
minutes - start with about 5 minutes, then check your BP again. I got DH to try
it and he lowered it by 15 points on top and 10 points on the bottom in about 3
minutes. If you do this several times a day you can permanently lower it. It
relaxes and expands the blood vessels therefore lowers BP.
