i've made really strong CS with my Colloid Master AC for quite awhile by
turning the dial all the way up, brewing until it won't run anymore not
worrying about it turning grey/blackish... then letting it settle down and
filtering and re-brewing... doing that a number of times, then filtering it
weekly for a month or two. it eventually ends up crystal clear with no
tyndall at all, and reads well over 60 uS with a com-100. once it's like
that it's stable for a long time, and i think probably all ionic... but i've
been convinced fresher, lower strength with the particles still in it but
still appearing very clear is probably better, so i use the really strong
aged stuff to top up bottles as i always need a couple oz more to fill a
liter bottle.

i use "oxygen cleansed" (?) filter papers (white) from costco, 4 layers of
them, and since i use one to make coffee every day anyway i don't worry
about contaminants in it... and i re-use the same filters for quite awhile
(until too clogged) hoping that overall gives less contaminants over time.

i believe your stuff would eventually settle out at home.
i wouldn't shake it up before drinking ... just the opposite: pour
carefully to leave the fallout on the bottom.

i don't know but doubt if proximity to frig or m'wave would matter. being
agitated is probably more likely to contribute to fallout.
