Hi all, Several people who've posted to the list recently have reported getting a message back of the form "Mail System Error -- Returned Mail", etc.
This, my friends, is a Bounce Message. Of the very sort I receive dozens of, each day at my list-owner's account on Eskimo. One is generated for *each* list subscriber address that has a full mailbox or is otherwise rejecting incoming mail, for *each* message sent by the list. <GRIN> What's unusual is that the postmaster droid at that particular site is picking up the TO: address, in other words, the original poster's address, instead of the Forwarded By: or Reply To: address, like these things usually do. So it's going to the poster instead of or in addition to me, the list owner. What will happen is this: The person will download their mail and free up space in their in-box, thus stopping the generation of bounce messages; The list-bot will unsubscribe them automatically after a while; Or I will unsubscribe them manually in order to save us futher annoyance. In any case, it will not persist for too long, and y'all can safely ignore it.
