Tom, Put your farm store DMSO in the fridge for several hours. Pour
off anything that's not frozen. DMSO freezes at 67ºF. If there are any
contaminants, they should still be liquid at 40ºF--the recommended
refridgerator temp. I've never had anything to pour off in dozens of
quarts of farm store DMSO. Saralou
