This does not appear to have posted. If you have already received this, sorry for the resend. There is a potential homemade enteric coating. It consists of using shellac flakes dissolved in ethanol to coat a gel capsule with a sprayer. The shellac will dissolve in the alkaline conditions of the lower intestine but not the acidic stomach. Food quality ingredients should be used. Shellac apparently is not only a fine wood varnish but it is non-toxic. Shellac is produced by an insect for cocooning. It is used on supermarket fruit along with wax as well as by the pharmaceutical industry.
