Friends,
It is a coincidence that I have a son also named Daniel also diagnosed with
ulcerative colitis who is turning thirteen in a couple of months.
I also know how distressing it is as a parent to witness these severe
debilitating attacks without knowing how to help.
He is in remission at the moment, and providing he takes the prescribed
herbal mixture when he should, along with 'slippery elm' powder, which is
mixed with some warm water to get it soluble enough to drink before meals he
seems to keep out of the danger zone. By the way, the families name for
'slippery elm' is GLUG! If you take it you will know why!! BUT IT WORKS!!!
I'm pasting some information regarding latest research that indicates that
persons suffering from Crohn's disease have a newly discovered bacteria
which
may cause the problem.

Perhaps it's drawing a rather long bow, but we are now adding regular CS
doses to his treatment regimen.
Our thinking is that that it will further positively assist him with this
health
problem and that if closely monitered certainly cannot do any harm.

Our Specialist medical adviser reaches for cortizone tablets and
suppositories and pushes for radical surgery whenever we front Daniel during
these debilitating attacks. But praise God! Daniel hasn't had to see him for
over 12 months. The Doctor is honest enough to admit however, that natural
treatments that do not have the the horrendous side effects that steroids
have may
have a place in treating this problem. He also admitted, that current
medical wisdom has not proven that the condition is caused by certain foods,
food allergies setting up inflammatory reactions, or bacteria!?

As a family we have used CS for a variety of health problems for about the
last 6 months with generally excellent results. Problems such as herpes
simplex-(cold sores), other skin infections and water sterilisation etc.
etc. etc.
We have had some rather nasty flu viruses here in Brisbane Australia during
this winter. The CS doesn't stop the infection moving through the family,
but definitely shortens the duration of the problem...and more importantly
has prevented the opportunist bacterial side-effects such as sore throats,
chest infections etc. etc.etc
I am using a SOTA reverse polarity CS maker with 240v mains power reducing
to 9v-12 v with a transformer. I started using the manufactures
recommendations using demineralised water below boiling point for 20 minutes
to make as claimed a CS 5ppm concentration. Now that I have a TDS
tester-(TdScan30), I have found that the concentration is around 40ppm!
I bought the tester from a distributor in new Zealand, but the product is
actually made inSingapore - their web page;
http://www.eutechinst.com/Testers Overview.in Singapore

It gives me great satisfaction & comfort that I am able to reclaim the
responsibility for my own health and well being and help my loved ones. CS
certainly has a lot going for it.

Love & greetings,
Rolo

>>BUG LINKED TO CROHN'S DISEASE FOUND: Researchers at two institutions
report they have found the elusive bacteria believed to play a major
role in Crohn's Disease, a severe gastrointestinal disorder. For years,
doctors have hypothesized that Crohn's Disease, which afflicts about 1
million Americans, is caused by an infectious agent, but no one had been
able show the link between the disease and a microbe. In a presentation
before the American Society for Microbiology, Kristina Hulten at
Houston's Baylor College of Medicine described finding Myobacterium
avium ss paratuberculosis - referred to as M. para - in three out of
four patients with Crohn's Disease. Scientists at the University of
Central Florida, Orlando, also found M. para in six of seven patients'
tissue removed during surgeries. Microbiologist Deidre Schwartz says,
"I would say that for at least some patients with Crohn's Disease the
illness is most likely caused by infection with M. para."
