In my booklet "Colloidal Silver" by Zane Baranowski he reports that "the concentration necessary to sterilize water contaminated with pathogenic bacteria is between 0.04 and 0.2ppm. Perhaps when taken internally, higher concentrations in the 3-5ppm range are advisable. He goes on to emphasize that particle size is much more important than ppm when assessing the quality of product.
