Dear Mr. Bradley,
Dear Glen,
In answer to your questions, I offer;
1. Agitations provided by vibrating toothbrushes (because of such low energy output) would appear to promise little success.
2. While some sort of adaptation using the transferred power from a neck or back massaging device might be assembled.....the low frequency, distributed power and damping effects of the container itself mitigates greatly against this method.
3. Kitchen blenders (of almost any sort), do in fact offer a limited...but acceptable....level of success. The more constrained the total volume (e.g. having the liquid contained in a tall glass) and using a hand-held unit which has a long vertical profile with the impeller located at the very bottom......yields about a 30% encapsulation. Not great, but certainly acceptable to some. Also, using any conventional type blender---or small food processor----will yield some positive result......but not nearly in the category of ultrasonic stimulation.
Do remember that whenever one is using ONLY a blender-type device, there will....almost always....be a meniscus formed as a result of the incomplete homogenization process. In any event, all of the products are of some health-supporting value----no matter their presenting form.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.
Thank you very much for your reply.
If you have the time, could you help me with these questions, as well?:
I suppose if I took an ultrasonic toothbrush and held it against the bottom
of a glass cup or bowl, that would be a very low effect compared to what
is achieved in the ultrasonic cleaners, correct?
And one of those old handheld vibrating back massagers (held against the
bottom of a glass cup or bowl) -- that would not likely achieve the desired
effect either, right?
And finally, could a high power blender like a Vitamix (or even a regular
low power blender) be used to create liposomes?
Thanks much!
Glen from Illinois
P.S. I hope you do not mind me asking -- PSI stands for pounds per square
inch (of pressure), correct?
