I think this is the nub of it so to speak. Everything nowadays has been interfered with 'to make it better!' Unfortunately, most of the time it makes it worse! I use Himalayan salt (pink) and it tastes a lot better and hasn't been interfered with at all. dee PS. love the tag!

Sea salt, essentially unprocessed, with trace minerals.
Sounds better, tastes better.
Various sources (seas) give various flavors due to natural location
differences.

Price differences are meaningless to me, as a pound of salt lasts me
about 5 years.
