Hi Lou. I have had my CS maker for about 2 years. It is a bit slower that others, but always turns out good, from clear to a nice light yellow. It was also recommended by Bob Beck and of high quality. It is the Sota SP5 and if I remember correctly makes 5 to 10 ppm. Good luck on your search. Orrilia
