According to several papers, magnesium chloride is more available, but can cause diarrhea, like all magnesium. I use a magnesium chloride spray on oil. Epsom salt baths can increase magnesium too, since it's magnesium sulfate and it absorbs through the skin. The problem with magnesium is kind of a conundrum, in that if you're low in magnesium the body doesn't want to absorb it, but you need it if you're levels are low. So you just have to keep plugging away at it until you get enough in you to absorb it better. :)
