I would go for ascorbate every time, since as I understand it, that is what humans cannot produce themselves (unlike the vast majority of mammals). Specifically I would go for a Liposomal version, as it's absorbtion rate is so high compared to regular supplementation, and doesn't have bowel tolerance issues. I would go as far as to say that it's even superior to IV supplementation due to its affinity to cell absorbtion rather than free roaming. There's some compelling evidence to suggest that under some circumstances it's worth going to 50-100g per day(!!), in cases such as cancer, as within the cell it can convert to H2O2.
