JoAnne, I've been using ionic/colloidal silver on horses and humans for over 10 years. It has no toxicity that I can detect in the levels usually recommended and assuming you are using silver made with distilled water and .999 fine silver water with nothing added. I give two cups a day to a sick horse, and 1/2 cup daily to a healthy one. Good luck.
