A new book may be of interest to list members. It focuses on a line
of "immortal" cervical cancer cells taken from a woman named Henrietta
Lacks. The cells are known as HeLa cells.
I wonder whether the Italian MD who claims that cancer "is" a fungus
refers to HeLa cells in his book. Their very existence, and
worldwide application to research, makes his hypothesis seem unlikely
in the extreme.
