I hope you don't mind me kibitzing here. But having looked at the mist fountains, my guess is that they use the similar transducers as the humidifiers. It would appear that my previous assumption that the humidifiers have similar transducers as the cleaners may be wrong. The cleaner transducers may have more mass than the humidifier transducers. Plus the humidifiers only use 30 watts. The 30 watts didn't concern me because you can use multiple transducers on a cleaner to get whatever total power level you desire and thrift shop humidifiers can often be gotten on the cheap.
A few rambling thoughts that I hope will make sense in the end. *** The foggers/humidifier transducers provide significant force or else they would not be able to generate mists. *** The mass of the transducers may not be sufficient to drive a traditional cleaner pan without using a number of transducers. *** You don't want misting when cleaning or when liposomal encapsulating. So what if you put the transducer on the end of a stick, bar, pipe, etc. You can then point the transducer down into the liquid rather than up from the bottom and you could mover the transducer around to get full coverage of the vessel containing the liquid. You would, however, need to provide adequate vibration isolation between the stick and the transducer and/or the stick and the hand to protect the hand from the transducer vibrations. The "stick" could hold multiple transducers if desired. - Steve N -----Original Message----- From: maniaka rose [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 21, 2010 8:43 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: CS>Sonic cleaners Morning Ode...you have my attention. I have 2 foggers still in box that i bought several years ago...never used. are you saying the unit could be fashioned to a bowl and we would get the same results? thanks! rose On Fri, May 21, 2010 at 6:13 AM, Ode Coyote <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Get something like this for $10 [including shipping] and use your own bowl. > > http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-CERAMIC-DISK-MIST-MAKER-MISTING-FOUNTAIN-PART-/260603414575?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cad2c882f > > The ultrasonic action is so strong that if you dip a finger in it, it'll > heat up the bone inside with vibration and really hurt [did that...*once*] > > OUCH!!! > > You can run it in CS and suck down the fog like a nebulizer as well. > > Ode > > > -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
