I posted this on the off-topic list, but feel that it might be of
interest to the silver list as well...

I read in the http://health-and-wisdom.com/index.html site, referring
to Magnesium Oil, that "in reality it's simply a mineral salt, in a
30% concentration, suspended in a liquid solution."

This is the same as "Nigari" which is a Japanese product (mostly
Magnesium Chloride) made from sea water used for precipitating soy in
making tofu.

I looked in several Asian grocery stores for this but could no longer
find it.  I went on-line and found it in 1 pound bags for about $9 to
$11 and up (way up), with an minimum of $6 shipping.

Well, that seemed a little steep to me, so I called up a couple of
food co-ops in town.  The first two didn't have any, but the third one
did.  It was about $2.60 per pound, and no shipping charge.  I bought
3 pounds for well under $10.

At 30% concentration (by weight), 1 pound of Nigari should be able to
be mixed with 2 pints of water (a pint's a pound the world round).
That should result in somewhat over 1 quart of magnesium oil.  So, 1
gallon of Magnesium Oil should use between 3 and 4 pounds of Magnesium
Chloride flakes.  That's about $10 for me, plus my time, which I don't
get paid for anyway...
