Melly- Radio Shack has battery holders for AA and AAA batteries. They
hold between 2 and 4 batteries. AA are 1.5 V so 2 would make 3 V. I
got the stuff and am going to make a godzilla. I once made a silver
generator by buying a small solar charger with alligator clips from
Harbor Freight, and used it with some silver wires. I could see the
silver oxide or whatever building up on the electrode, even working with
a light bulb. I gave it to one of my kids, they lost it or buried it in
a box somewhere.:-(

To Maryann, Dan, and Ode, and everyone who shared their wisdom,
I was able to make good batches yesterday and today of EIS. I kept
them 2" apart and cut new 16 ga. electrodes, made it longer.
One is slightly yellow and one is almost colorless.
I still have to work on getting it further away from the walls of the
jar. My brother-in-law will make me new plates made of teflon where
the wires and rubber corks will sit as well as new "corks" also made
of teflon so it would be heavier. When he came i told him the jar
went hot and right away he said silver electrodes too close. I said
that is what you guys have also said.
I will save money to buy the silver puppy.
