i believe you said $1000 to remove and replace the remaining fillings, that the crown and work done so far was seperate? i sure don't see $197 each to remove and replace fillings as any bargain and they could all be done in one visit in a few hours. the cost overhead of safely removing the fillings isn't high nor is composite filling material. the dentist who did mine, a couple large ones and a bunch of small, in a very expensive locale (bethesda, maryland) was overpriced but cheaper. it is impressive that your dentist is able to make a crown on site quickly... that technology has to be pricey to have abailable. to bad the husband is stuck in BS. best to find the money yourself somehow if you can.
