They will be able to see a mass (tumor) or growth of some sort if present.  The 
only way to definitively know if it's cancer is to do a biopsy.  Personally, if 
I had a known growth I would assume it was cancer and not do a biopsy as this 
procedure can spread cancer cells thru the blood.   That is my opinion however 
and not intended as advice to you.
