I don't know if this product has been mentioned before on this site
but.. there was a soap that was used by hospitals as a surgical scrub
back in the sixties. It was called phisohex. They put this stuff in
everything back then.. shampoos, toothpaste, deoderant, soaps,
moisturizers etc. called hexachlorophene. Bottom line.. it killed
staph germs deader than a hammer.. Just observational but.. look at
all the hospital infections running rampant since hospitals ceased
using it. (I am sure there are other, contributing factors besides
this). There were some french studies and it was the results of those
studies that caused it to be made available by RX only. I consider it
safe as long as you use it and rinse well. I get my doctor to write
me an rx for it about every 4 - 5 yrs and keep it on hand..'just in
case'. I don't know that it would be effective against MRSA. But.. I
would give it a shot.
Oh.. by the way.. if you ask your doctor for a rx for this, he will
probably argue with you that it is no longer on the market. Just tell
him to ck his book. It is still there and still available. Lola
