From my understanding there are 2 (at least) causes of cataracts. One
is depositing of hydrogenated/saturated oils in the lens, like Crisco.
The other is scar tissue from damage, usually excessive UV radiation,
like the sun. Flax seed oil dissolves the hydrogenated oils allow them
to move out of the lens clearing them. It will not help lens that have
scar tissue.
At least that is my understanding.

That didn't work for me. I think it may be contingent on the state of
the cataracts.

The best thing for cataracts is flax seed oil. Put a drop in the
eye several times a day. Those I know who have done that have had
them clear in a week or two.

CS hasn't improved mine and I take CS daily for my health in
general. Also didn't work when I used it in my eyes.
Next week, my first cataract is being removed. Then the second
one goes in July.
I need to be able to see, to read, and much much more. Since my
husband had really good outcomes with both of his eyes, I am
seeing the same for myself.

Someone has just mentioned that CS x 1 teasp 3 x daily x 8
days orally improved her cataracts - wondered if anyone else
had similar experience?
