Deborah, very VERY basically a herx is Jarish Herxheimer reaction. It is thought that when the Lyme spirochetes (and other things?) die off they emit a toxin which causes a temporary worsening of the symptoms, before they get better.
What can you tell us about essential oils and the fight against Lyme? Are they being used for that, or used to releave symptoms?
