Hey Deborah, I don't know what she had, but my cat has always been sickly and skinny and often has a very slight fever -- since I started putting CS in her water bowl on a regular basis (in order to help her get over an abcess) she has gotten fat and sleek and sassy as I could neve have imagined. I would think that if nothing else the CS helps get rid of other problems, allowing the immune system to function better - so it's always worth a try.
