Bob- I've got a question about digestion that I've always wondered about. What exactly does baking soda do as a remedy? Baking soda is great for an upset stomach or the morning after a real bender. I know it's doing something with the digestive system's PH but I don't understand the process and I don't know whether its totally harmless. Can you abuse baking soda? I once heard someone blew up their stomach taking too much but I'm sure you could do that with mashed potatoes if you tried hard enough! A number of people call for putting baking soda in CS solution either to adjust the PH for longer shelf life, or for improving initial conductivity (the AC weirdos).
