Hi Nancy, Probably not useful. CS is a lyophobic sol. I do not think you can rehydrate it with the same properties. Besides, who cares if the bacteria, etc, which stick on the mask are killed, except in terms of handling the mask. It is the ones that get into you with which you are concerned. In a highly septic environment, it would possibly make the mask less a fomite.
At present, the best approach to anthrax is to take a maintenance dose all the time and take more if exposed. In that situation I would take as much as did not cause diarrhea. If using a vaporizer, do not use the type which uses heat. That distills the CS, leaving it behind. Ultrasonic is probably best. An airbrush hooked up to pressure-regulated oxygen is best. All oxygen in the US is medical grade. Tests against all sorts of lung problems have been excellent.
